Schwartz Distinguished Professor in Urologic Oncology, Director of the Prostate Cancer Active Surveillance Program, Director of the Urologic Oncology Fellowship, and Co-Director of the Prostate Cancer Multidisciplinary Clinics at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Pavlovich’s clinical interests include prostate and kidney cancer and clinical trials regarding detection, surveillance, and immunotherapy.
Dr. Pavlovich earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco. He then completed a urology residency at New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Pavlovich then completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland.
With more than 20 years of experience with minimally-invasive surgery for the treatment of urologic cancers, Dr. Pavlovich is an expert in robotic surgery and was named one of the top prostate cancer surgeons in the United States by Newsweek in 2024. Dr. Pavlovich has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles, is Associate Editor of The Prostate, and is on the Editorial Board of the British Journal of Urology International. He was the inaugural Director of the Brady Urological Institute’s SUO Urologic Oncology Fellowship (2014 -2024) and is the recipient of three “best teaching/research mentor” awards from the Urology residents at Johns Hopkins.
