Transportation

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) is the closest commercial airport to Big Sky and Montana’s busiest airport. Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, and United serve Bozeman this winter, with nonstop flights from cities including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Big Sky Resort is about 50 miles south of the airport, roughly an hour’s drive through the Gallatin Canyon on U.S. Highway 191. Winter road conditions can lengthen travel time, so allow extra time and check conditions before departing.

From Bozeman, attendees can rent a car at the airport, book a shuttle in advance, or use Uber. Rental cars with all wheel drive are recommended in February. For the return trip, we recommend reserving a shuttle or local taxi service ahead of time, since ride share availability in Big Sky is limited and not reliable for timed airport departures.

Rental Cars

Eight major rental agencies have counters next to baggage claim, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty. Visit bozemanairport.com/ground-transportation for contact details.

Lift Tickets, Rentals, and Lessons

Big Sky Resort has extended group pricing to conference attendees on lift tickets, equipment rentals, and group lessons.

Pricing is based on the first day your lift ticket is valid rather than the day you purchase it. The group rate also allows one additional day at the beginning or end of the meeting, so you can ski the day before the conference opens or the day after it closes at the same price.

A private booking link and group code are sent to every registrant in the registration confirmation email and repeated in the reminders leading up to the meeting. Register for the conference first, then book your tickets, rentals, and lessons through that link.

Solace Spa & Recovery Lounge

Relax, renew, and revitalize your body and spirit.

Nestled in the heart of Big Sky Resort, Solace Spa offers a serene retreat for skiers and vacationers alike. After a thrilling day on the slopes, unwind in a restful space where a soothing ambiance and expert treatments await.

Solace Spa features a range of indulgent services, from invigorating massages to rejuvenating facials, all designed to melt away tension and restore your vitality. Immerse yourself in the calming environment for a perfect end to your day or a revitalizing break during your mountain escape.

At Solace Spa, your well-being is our priority, ensuring you leave feeling refreshed and revitalized.

The Enchanted Forest at Big Sky Resort is a magical winter experience atop Andesite Mountain. Visitors ride the Ramcharger 8 chairlift to a snow-covered forest illuminated by more than 10,000 twinkling lights. The self-guided, two-thirds-mile walking trail features dazzling light displays, peaceful mountain scenery, and a cozy outdoor fire pit. Perfect for families, couples, and visitors of all ages, this enchanting nighttime adventure offers a memorable way to experience the beauty of winter in Montana.

Experience the exhilaration of dog sledding through Big Sky’s spectacular winter landscape. Guided by energetic Alaskan huskies, you’ll travel across snow-covered trails surrounded by forests, mountains, and Montana’s backcountry.

Two outfitters provide excursions in the Big Sky area. Spirit of the North Sled Dog Adventures operates trips in Moonlight Basin, where guests receive hands-on instruction and can experience driving a dog team. Yellowstone Dog Sled Adventures offers interactive excursions approximately 30 minutes from Big Sky, including opportunities to ride and learn to mush.

Most trips last approximately two to two and a half hours and operate during the winter, depending on snow conditions. Dress warmly in layered clothing, insulated boots, gloves, and a hat. Advance reservations are strongly recommended because tours often fill quickly.
