Morgan McDowell, DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC, AGPCNP-BC, is a part of the adjunct faculty at the University of Lynchburg in Virginia. McDowell also serves as the Director of APP Education for Centra Health, where she ensures available educational opportunities for APPs throughout the system. McDowell specializes in healthcare leadership, advance practice nursing, women’s health, and urology. She cares for patients with a wide variety of urologic conditions including kidney stones, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, and urinary tract infections.
McDowell earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She then completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
McDowell is the President-Elect of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, where she helps champion professional growth and practice excellence for nurse practitioners across the state. She is also a member of the American Nurses Association and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses.
