Dr. Sung Yong Cho is Professor of Urology and Director of the Specialized Endoluminal Endourology-Stone Clinic. He received his MD, MS, and PhD from the Seoul National University College of Medicine. Dr. Cho completed his urology residency and fellowship at Seoul National University Hospital before accepting a faculty position with the National University Boramae Medical Center in 2011 where he was head of the Stone-Endourology Training Center. He returned to Seoul National University Hospital in 2019 as an associate professor where he assumed his current role as director of the Specialized Endoluminal Endourology-Stone Clinic (SEES), the first kidney stone specialized center in Korea, and The Medical Device Usability Testing Center (UTC).
Dr. Cho specializes in endoscopic surgery for kidney and ureteral stones and ureter cancer, prostate laser surgery, and robotic surgery. He is a member, founder & first president of CLUES, a group of people who are leading f-URS, supine and Miniaturized PCNL, and ECIRS cases in Korea. Dr. Cho has authored numerous articles.
