About The 31st Annual International Prostate Cancer Update:

The International Prostate Cancer Update (IPCU), founded in 1990, is a multi-day CME conference focused on prostate cancer treatment updates with expert, international faculty. It is led by expert physicians and is designed for urologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. Dr. Koo delivered this educational activity during the 31st iteration of the meeting in July 2021 in Snowbird, Utah.

About The Author

Mitchell Finkelstein

Mitchell Finkelstein is currently a 17-year-old High School Senior at the Ohana Institute and research intern at Florida Cancer Affiliates / The US Oncology Network. He has a burgeoning interest in medicine, advanced medical imaging, and scientific research, and to date has published abstracts on improving cancer care. Mitchell started undertaking scientific research when he was 14 and presented his first abstract at a national medical meeting at age 15. His initial research training was at Advanced Urology Institute working on next-generation imaging of prostate cancer with Axumen PET/CT. With the COVID-19 pandemic, he wanted to make a difference with respect to patient access to advance cancer care. In 2020, early work and publications as Research Intern @ Florida Cancer Affiliates / The US Oncology Network directly addressed deciphering the changing landscape of differential delay in cancer diagnoses in community oncology. Even at a young age at this is led to several national abstract presentations, including an oral presentation. For this work, at age 16 he was recognized with Third Place Scientific Abstract at the IPCU 2021 31st Annual International Prostate Cancer Update in July 2021 in Snowbird, Utah.
