Newman, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, Adjunct Professor of Surgery, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, introduces Vic Senese, RN, BSN, FAUNA, Founder and Creator, of UroNurse, Lowell, Indiana. In this 16-minute presentation, Senese shares how he created his multimedia platform, which is dedicated to advancing urologic education.
Senese discusses his journey into content creation and how he used his background in audio engineering to improve livestreams for his local church. Recognizing a broader opportunity, he launched UroNurse in August 2022 as a weekly live show offering clinical updates, guidelines, and tips for nurses, urologists, and allied professionals. Senese emphasizes the need for consistent, high-quality content and describes how his professional studio setup enhances viewer engagement.
Recognizing a gap in patient education, Senese launched UroPatient in January 2024. In September 2024, he expanded with Streaming Bootcamp, a monthly tutorial series to train other content creators. In collaboration with Dr. Jeff Albaugh, he co-hosts the podcast “Dr. Jeff Talks About Sex and Intimacy,” which addresses underrepresented topics in sexual health, and in August 2025, he introduces “UroNurse News,” a five-minute daily broadcast on the latest research.
