Brian J. Davis, MD, PhD, FABS, is a Professor of Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Davis also serves as a consultant for the Department of Radiation Oncology and the Department of Physiology & Biomedical Engineering at Mayo Clinic. He specializes in genitourinary cancer, and his research interests include prostate cancer, proton therapy, intensity-modulated radiation therapy, external beam radiotherapy, and brachytherapy.

Dr. Davis earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Davis then completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York.

Dr. Davis has more than 220 publications within his field. His research support as a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator from the National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute has included the development of a trans-urethral ultrasound probe as a guidance tool for minimally invasive prostate therapy, prostate vibroacoustic imaging, in situ gene therapy, and human kallikrein biomarker studies. Dr. Davis is a member of numerous professional groups, including the Education Committee for the Department of Radiation Oncology and the American Brachytherapy Society. He serves as an appointed trustee for the American Board of Radiology, a review committee member for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and as the Vice Chair of Radiation Oncology Trustees for the American Board of Radiology.
