Mark N. Painter, CPMA, MBA, Managing Partner, Consulting LLC, CEO, PRS Urology Service Corporation, Vice President of Coding and Reimbursement Information and CEO Relative Value Studies, Inc. and Michael Burnett, Chief Operating Officer at Kansas City Urology Care, discuss upcoming 2025 Medicare Part D changes. 

Michael joins the conversation and expresses his viewpoint on the upcoming changes and how this may affect his office. He then shares how his office works to identify which patients need grants, subsidies, or assistance as well as details the heroic efforts to ensure that these patients get the help they need and how he hopes this will change with the upcoming Medicare Part D changes. 

This 12-minute discussion concludes with both Mark and Michael discussing how to best make patients aware and make sure they take advantage of these changes. Michael shares how his office is currently handling these future changes and their plan to notify patients. He emphasizes that education for both patients and urology practices on these updates is the best way to ensure successful adoption of the upcoming Medicare Part D changes. Mark shares a reminder that Open Enrollment begins on October 15, 2024, and runs through December 7, 2024.

Mark N. Michael Burnett is the Chief Operating Officer at Kansas City Urology Care. Michael received his MBA from Avila University in 2002 after receiving a BA in Business Administration and Management from UMKC Henry W. Bloch School of Management in 1992.
