Read MoreScott A. MacDiarmid, MD, FRCPSC, is the Director of the Bladder Control and Pelvic Pain Center at Alliance Urology Specialists in Greensboro, North Carolina. Dr. MacDiarmid also serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Urology at the University of North Carolina. Dr. MacDiarmid earned his medical degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he also completed a residency in Urology. He completed fellowships in Reconstructive Urology and Neuro-urology at the University of Sheffield in Sheffield, England. Dr. MacDiarmid also completed fellowships in Reconstructive Urology and Urodynamics at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. He has also completed fellowships in Reconstructive Urology and Urodynamics at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. MacDiarmid expertise includes male and female voiding dysfunction, neurogenic bladder, and complex lower urinary tract and pelvic floor reconstruction. His has a special interest in physician burnout, and he has authored a book entitled “Fist Pumps… The Prescription for Physician Burnout”. Dr. MacDiarmid has been recognized for his contributions to the field by being named Top Doctor, and being invited to speak at national meetings about physician burnout. |
