ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sarah Y. Parker, MSN, AGNP-C, is a urology nurse practitioner at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She earned her Master of Science in adult health nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating with a 4.0 GPA.
Mrs. Parker has worked as a urology nurse practitioner for two years, and prior to that, she worked as a registered nurse for over seven years in various clinical areas, including general floor nursing, post-operative care nursing, and peri-operative care. In her current position as a nurse practitioner, Ms. Parker works alongside urologists, assisting in the operating room; caring for patients pre-, peri-, and post-operatively; and following up with patients in an outpatient setting.
