Anwar Padhani, MBBS, FRCP, FRCR,  presented “Imaging of Metastatic Prostate Cancer: Whole Body MRI and Novel PET Techniques” at the 6th Symposium on the Treatment of Prostate Cancer (STOP-6), which was held in Lisbon, Portugal between October 14th and 16th 2016.

STOP-6 was accredited for CME by the European Accreditation Council for CME (UEMS-EACCME).

The meeting was organised by Bioscript and the Scientific Committee, composed of Professors Laurence Klotz (Chair), Noel Clarke, Karim Fizazi and Bertrand Tombal.

Anwar Padhani, MBBS, FRCP, FRCR, is a Professor of Cancer Imaging at the Institute of Cancer Research in London. He is an internationally recognized Oncological MRI radiologist and the clinical lead in MRI at the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre. He is a specialist in the clinical evaluation of advanced MRI, including dynamic MRI, diffusion weighted MRI, MR spectroscopy, whole body MRI, and multiparametric MRI of the prostate for primary and metastatic disease. Professor Padwani has a passion for teaching and has published chapters in more than 30 textbooks, as well as more than 60 educational and scientific journal reviews and over 100 full scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. Prof. Padhani has given more than 250 invited lectures at national and international scientific and educational meetings, including several plenary talks. He has to his credit several education-related awards, including an Outstanding Teacher Award from the ISMRM in 2011 & 2012 and an Honored Educator Award from the RSNA in 2011. He was the 2012 president of the International Cancer Imaging Society.
