International Prostate Cancer Update (IPCU) Global Visionary Award in Prostate Cancer Research

Now in its 29th year, the International Prostate Cancer Update (IPCU) is one of the longest-running and most successful annual scientific meetings dedicated to the discussion of prostate cancer research. Over the last three decades, the IPCU has enjoyed the involvement and support of physicians and researchers working in the pharmaceutical industry who are dedicated to making a difference by improving the outcomes of men with prostate cancer. To honor these important contributors, IPCU sponsor Grand Rounds in Urology and IPCU Founder and Program Director E. David Crawford, MD, have established the IPCU Global Visionary Award to recognize outstanding individuals who have and continue to embody the core value of dedication to science and research for improving patient outcomes through their life’s work, and have consistently supported the IPCU conference and our mission to shape future directions in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.

Grand Rounds in Urology, Dr. Crawford and the IPCU Program and Awards Committee are pleased to award the inaugural and 2019 IPCU Global Visionary Award to Tracy McGowan, MD, of Janssen Biotech. The award was presented during the annual Fred Bartlit, Jr. Dinner, on Friday, January 25, 2019, during the 29th annual IPCU conference in Beaver Creek, Colorado.
